Protection of Certain Rights Regarding Freedom of Speech, etc.

All citizens shall have the right to freedom of speech and expression, freedom to assemble peaceably and without arms, freedom to form associations or unions.

Judicial interpretation

Shreya Singhal v. Union of India (2015). The Court struck down Section 66A of the IT Act, holding that vague restrictions cannot chill the freedom of speech guaranteed by Article 19(1)(a).
